DTF Film Recycling Program Launched by Major Consumables Supplier

A major DTF consumables supplier has launched a recycling program for used PET transfer films, addressing one of the environmental drawbacks of DTF printing. Print shops can collect spent films (after peeling off transfers) and ship them to a central facility, where they are granulated and reprocessed into new films or other plastic products. The program accepts all brands of PET films, not just the supplier’s own. To encourage participation, the supplier offers a small credit per kilogram of returned film, offsetting shipping costs.

For users of Xinflying DTF printers, the recycling program provides a convenient way to reduce waste and improve sustainability credentials. A typical print shop processing 500 transfers per week generates about 10–15 kg of waste film monthly. Recycling this material instead of sending it to landfill can significantly lower environmental impact. The program is initially available in North America and Europe, with plans to expand to Asia and Latin America. As environmental regulations tighten, such recycling initiatives may become mandatory, but early adopters can gain marketing advantages by promoting their use of recycled content.
