Printful, a leading print-on-demand (POD) fulfillment company, has integrated Kornit Atlas MAX direct-to-garment printers across its US and European fulfillment centers. The Atlas MAX features Kornit’s NeoPigment ink technology with a 25% wider color gamut compared to previous models. Printful reports that the new printers reduce production time by 30% and improve color consistency across batches.
The Atlas MAX also includes an automated pre-treatment system that applies fixative only where needed, reducing chemical waste by 40%. Printful has deployed 15 units in its Charlotte, NC facility and 10 units in its Barcelona, Spain facility. The company plans to add 20 more units by Q3 2026.
The integration allows Printful to offer new products, including all-over-print hoodies and oversized tote bags, with faster turnaround times (2-3 days instead of 5-7). Printful’s head of production, Laura Behrens Wu, stated: “The Kornit Atlas MAX enables us to meet the growing demand for sustainable, on-demand apparel with uncompromising quality.”
Printful has also updated its design tool to leverage the expanded gamut, offering creators more vibrant color options. The company’s fulfillment fee per garment remains unchanged despite the upgrade. With the POD market expected to exceed $20 miliar oleh 2028, Printful’s investment in high-speed DTG technology positions it to capture growth. Learn about DTG for POD at Xinflying.
