IIMAK, a global manufacturer of digital printing media, has launched PEEL+, a new UV-DTF transfer film designed to eliminate static-induced defects and improve adhesion on difficult substrates. Traditional UV-DTF films often suffer from static charge that attracts dust during transfer, causing bubbles and specks. PEEL+ incorporates a static-dissipative liner that grounds the film during unwinding and application. The film also features a 30% higher tack adhesive layer that bonds to low-surface-energy materials such as powder-coated metal, untreated polypropylene, and silicone phone cases.
IIMAK’s testing shows a 95% reduction in visible defects compared to generic UV-DTF films. The film is available in 30cm and 60cm widths, in rolls of 30m and 100m. PEEL+ is compatible with all UV printers that support white ink and varnish, including Roland, Mimaki, and Chinese brands like Apex and Hapond. Pricing is $0.85 per square foot, approximately 20% higher than standard films, but IIMAK claims the defect reduction saves operators time and material waste.
Early adopter print shops reported a 40% increase in first-pass yield on smartphone case orders. IIMAK has also released an application guide with optimized pressure, temperatura, and peel angle for 50 common substrates. The guide is free for download. PEEL+ is now shipping from IIMAK’s US, Holanda, and Singapore warehouses. The company offers sample packs of 10 A3 sheets for $15.
