Resolute, in partnership with DuPont Artistri, has begun commercial shipments of the R-Jet PRO DTF V9NP, a direct-to-film printer that eliminates powder adhesive entirely. The system uses a jettable adhesive layer printed simultaneously with the CMYK and white inks, which activates under standard heat press conditions (150درجة مئوية, 15 ثواني). This powderless DTF technology addresses three major pain points: powder dust in the workplace, inconsistent adhesive coverage, and the need for separate shaker/dryer units.
The R-Jet PRO DTF V9NP has a print width of 60 cm and operates at speeds up to 12 م²/ساعة. It uses DuPont Artistri P1600 jettable adhesive, which is Oeko-Tex certified and creates a softer hand feel than traditional powder-based transfers – measured at 30% lower stiffness on a Handle-O-Meter test. Resolute’s managing director Colin Marsh commented: “We’ve been working on this with DuPont for over two years. The first production units are now installed in five UK and three German print shops. Feedback shows a 50% reduction in production time because operators no longer need to shake, دواء, and clean powder.”
The printer retails for £22,500, وهو 40% higher than Resolute’s powder-based DTF model, but the company claims total cost of ownership is lower due to reduced consumables and maintenance. Adhesive ink costs £0.08 per A3 transfer, compared to £0.03 for powder but with no waste from overspray. DuPont has secured exclusive rights to supply the jettable adhesive for Resolute until 2028.
Competitors are developing similar technologies, but Resolute’s head start may capture early adopters in Europe and North America. The company plans to demonstrate the V9NP at FESPA 2026 and offer on-site trials at its Chesterfield facility. Learn about powderless دتف في شينفلاينج.
