Nazdar Ink Technologies has launched the 2200 series UV-DTF ink set, specifically formulated for direct-to-film transfers onto hard surfaces. The series includes a high-opacity white ink that achieves 90% coverage on black substrates with a single layer, reducing the need for double-white passes. The CMYK inks deliver a wide gamut, covering 95% of Pantone solid-coated colors.
The 2200 series is compatible with all UV printers that support white ink and varnish, including Roland’s VersaOBJECT, Mimaki’s UJF series, and Chinese brands like Apex and Hapond. Nazdar claims the inks provide excellent adhesion to glass, metal, acrylic, and polycarbonate, with cross-hatch test results of 5B. The inks are also flexible, passing 180-degree bend tests on thin aluminum sheets.
Pricing is $150 per liter for CMYK and $250 per liter for white. Nazdar offers sample kits (250ml each color) for $300. The 2200 series is VOC-compliant and GREENGUARD Gold certified, making it suitable for indoor applications. Nazdar provides ICC profiles for popular transfer films, including IIMAK’s PEEL+.
